Improve rear suspension precision and extend the service life of your factory trailing arm bushings with these 85A polyurethane rear control arm bushing limit spacers, designed for BMW E36, E46, X3 E83, and Z4 E85/E86 platforms. Rather than replacing the factory rubber bushings entirely, these precision spacers work alongside them — limiting left and right deflection of the trailing arm bushing under load to suppress abnormal rear beam angle variation, reduce tyre wear, and sharpen cornering response. The 85A durometer polyurethane delivers a low NVH impact, maintaining the comfort characteristics of the factory rubber while meaningfully improving suspension geometry stability under hard cornering, track use, or spirited mountain road driving.
Features:
- 85A durometer polyurethane construction delivers effective NVH suppression alongside improved durability compared to standard rubber
- Limits left and right trailing arm bushing deflection under load – reduces abnormal rear beam angle variation for more consistent suspension geometry
- Reduces rubber torsion on the factory bushing – extending its service life rather than replacing it
- Improves cornering precision and road feel feedback while maintaining factory ride comfort characteristics
- Low NVH impact – suitable for daily street driving as well as track and mountain road use

Benefits:
- Corrects abnormal rear beam angle variation caused by excessive trailing arm bushing deflection under load
- Reduces tyre wear associated with inconsistent rear suspension geometry during cornering
- Extends factory rubber bushing service life by reducing torsional stress on the bushing during dynamic loading
- Maintains stable suspension geometry under severe road conditions for more predictable and precise handling
- Low NVH increase makes this a practical upgrade for comfort-oriented daily drivers as well as performance builds
Installation Notes:
- Polyurethane spacers must be greased during installation – do not install dry
- If the original factory rubber bushing cover is already badly damaged, the rubber cover must be replaced before fitting these spacers
- Not compatible with polyurethane, Delrin, or monoball rear trailing arm bushings – for use with factory rubber bushings only
- Not compatible with adjustable rear trailing arm brackets
- For optimal suspension performance, pairing with M3 bearings (part number 33 32 6 770 817) is recommended
- Not compatible with BMW E36 Ti, E36 Z3, E46 Ti, or Z4M variants
