Eliminate rear differential movement and tighten up power delivery on your BMW E8X / E9X chassis with this premium billet aluminium rear differential mount insert kit, precision CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminium for permanent durability and dramatically improved drivetrain response. Factory rubber differential bushings on the E8X / E9X chassis are notorious for deforming under load — particularly when applying or releasing throttle in spirited driving — resulting in vague feedback from the rear axle, clunky shifts, and unstable handling characteristics that frustrate enthusiasts. Commercially available polyurethane and solid differential bushings address the deformation issue but introduce significant NVH penalties and complicated installation procedures. This insert kit takes a smarter approach — precision-fit aluminium inserts fill the voids in the factory differential bracket, suppressing differential displacement and optimizing drivetrain response without the harsh NVH increase of full bushing replacement. The result is sharper throttle response, smoother shifts, and more consistent rear-end behavior with minimal impact on daily driveability.
Features:
- Sturdy and durable construction – 6061 billet aluminium material delivers exceptional strength while keeping weight low
- CNC machined precision – ensures high dimensional accuracy for a perfect fit to factory differential mounting bracket geometry
- Anodized surface finish – delivers rust-proof and anti-corrosion protection for sustained underbody and weather exposure
- Precision reinforcement design – factory-positioned inserts fill the voids in the differential bracket perfectly, suppressing rubber compliance without replacing the entire bushing
- Dynamic performance enhancement – suppresses differential displacement under load, optimizes shift smoothness, and maintains linear throttle response
- Low NVH improvement design – delivers performance benefits with minimal noise, vibration, and harshness increase compared to full polyurethane or solid bushing alternatives
- Simpler installation than full bushing replacement – avoids the complicated extraction and pressing procedures required for complete differential bushing replacement

Contents:
- Rear Differential Mount Insert Kit
Benefits:
- Eliminates the vague rear axle feedback caused by deformed factory rubber differential bushings – delivering sharper, more direct rear-end response under throttle
- Suppresses differential displacement under load – the rear differential stays positioned correctly during hard acceleration, deceleration, and gear changes
- Optimizes shift smoothness on both manual and automatic transmissions – reduced differential movement during shifts eliminates the clunky engagement common to aged factory bushings
- Maintains linear throttle response – particularly noticeable during transition phases (on/off throttle) where rubber bushing deformation typically introduces lag and inconsistency
- Smarter approach than full bushing replacement – the precision insert design delivers most of the performance benefits of solid bushings without the harsh NVH increase or complicated installation
- 6061 billet aluminium construction provides permanent dimensional stability – will not crack, deform, or degrade like rubber alternatives over time
- Anodized finish maintains the premium aluminium appearance and corrosion resistance for the lifetime of the vehicle
- Significant cost savings compared to high-end polyurethane or solid differential bushing kits while delivering equivalent performance benefits with better daily driveability
Installation Notes:
-
Body / chassis fitment verification: This kit fits non-M E8X / E9X variants only. It will NOT fit 1M, M3, or other M-specific chassis which use different rear differential mounting geometry
- Properly support the rear of the vehicle on jack stands rated for the vehicle weight before beginning installation – never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack
- Inserts are designed to fill voids in the existing factory differential bracket – they complement rather than replace the factory rubber bushings
- Inspect the surrounding rear differential mounting hardware during installation – worn or damaged factory bushings should be replaced before installing the inserts for optimal performance
- Ensure inserts are properly seated in their factory-designed positions before final assembly – improper seating will compromise the precision reinforcement benefit
- Apply manufacturer-specified torque values to all rear differential mounting hardware after installation
- Test rear-end response and drivetrain behavior at low speeds before aggressive driving – the difference is typically immediately noticeable in throttle response and rear-end stability
- Professional installation recommended if you are unfamiliar with rear differential and subframe service procedures
- If unsure about compatibility with your specific BMW variant or chassis code, contact our team with your year, model, and chassis code (E81 / E82 / E87 / E88 / E90 / E91 / E92 / E93) before ordering
