| Permanently solve the BMW N54 PCV valve cap failure with this premium billet aluminum replacement kit, precision CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum for permanent durability and reliable crankcase ventilation system sealing. The factory plastic PCV valve cap on N54 twin-turbo engines is a notorious failure point — over time the plastic becomes brittle from heat cycling, develops cracks, and breaks down entirely, allowing crankcase pressurization, oil loss, vacuum leaks, and the rough idle and lean fuel codes that frustrate N54 owners. This billet aluminum replacement permanently solves the problem with rigid metal construction that won't crack, deform, or degrade under sustained heat exposure. Paired with a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer O-ring for superior sealing, the kit properly routes crankcase gases back into the combustion chamber as designed, preventing crankcase pressurization and oil loss issues common to aged factory PCV systems.
Features:
- Premium 6061-T6 billet aluminum construction – aircraft-grade aluminum permanently eliminates the cracking and brittleness failure mode of the factory plastic PCV cap
- Heat-resistant fluoroelastomer O-ring – delivers superior heat and chemical resistance compared to standard NBR rubber seals, preventing leakage at sustained engine operating temperatures
- Direct factory replacement design – manufactured to OE specifications for clean, modification-free installation in the factory PCV valve location
- CNC machined precision – uses latest-generation CNC technology to ensure high dimensional accuracy and perfect OE-grade fitment
- Anodized surface finish – delivers corrosion resistance and a sleek motorsport-grade aesthetic for long-term engine bay durability
- Proper crankcase ventilation routing – channels crankcase gases back into the combustion chamber as designed, preventing pressurization and oil loss
- Wide N54 chassis compatibility – fits the entire BMW N54 twin-turbo engine lineup across 1, 3, 5, 7 Series and X6, Z4 chassis

Contents:
- 1x Billet Aluminum PCV Valve Cap Cover (with Fluoroelastomer O-Ring)
Benefits:
- Permanently eliminates the cracking and failure mode of the factory plastic PCV cap that plagues aging N54 engines after sustained heat cycling exposure
- Resolves rough idle, vacuum leak codes (P0171 lean fault), oil weeping, and crankcase pressurization symptoms commonly traced to failed factory PCV components
- Heat-resistant fluoroelastomer O-ring maintains seal integrity at sustained engine operating temperatures where standard NBR rubber seals begin to harden and leak
- Aircraft-grade billet aluminum construction will not become brittle from temperature cycling, unlike the original plastic alternative which degrades progressively
- Anodized finish maintains the premium aluminum appearance over long-term engine bay heat exposure without fading or corrosion
- One-time permanent fix – replace the PCV cap once with this aluminum upgrade and never deal with the failure mode again for the lifetime of the vehicle
- Significant cost savings compared to recurring factory PCV replacement intervals – this aluminum upgrade is a permanent solution
- Subtle but meaningful engine bay aesthetic upgrade – replaces a failure-prone plastic component with a clean machined aluminum accent
Installation Notes:
-
Engine compatibility verification required: Confirm your engine is the N54 twin-turbo inline-6 before ordering – this kit is not compatible with N55, S55, or other BMW engine variants
-
Plastic cap reuse compatibility: If you intend to reuse your old factory plastic cap with this kit, you will need to cut back the nubs inside the cap. The metal cap version (this product) eliminates this requirement and provides hassle-free fitment
-
Installation lubrication: Apply a small amount of clean engine oil to the O-ring before threading the cap into place – this ensures smooth seating and prevents O-ring damage during installation
-
Tightening warning: Do NOT overtighten the cap during installation – excessive torque can damage the valve cover threads. Tighten only until snug, allowing the O-ring to compress properly without crushing
- Allow the engine to fully cool before beginning service to avoid burns from hot engine components
- Locate the PCV valve cap on the valve cover – consult vehicle service documentation for exact location on your specific N54 application
- Carefully remove the existing factory plastic cap – take note of original orientation during removal
- Inspect the valve cover and surrounding components during installation – worn or damaged components in the same area should be addressed simultaneously
- After installation, scan for stored fault codes and clear any historical vacuum leak codes (commonly P0171 or P2187) related to the previous failed PCV cap
- Test for vacuum leaks using a smoke test or carb cleaner spray method to verify proper sealing at the new cap
- Professional installation recommended if you are unfamiliar with N54 PCV system service procedures
- If unsure about compatibility with your specific BMW variant or engine code, contact our team with your year, model, and engine code (must be N54) before ordering
Warranty:
- 12-month standard warranty from date of purchase
- Contact our support team for assistance with any issues
