Restore proper brake caliper operation on your BMW with this premium brake caliper guide slider pin set, manufactured from high-quality steel for permanent durability and reliable braking system performance. Brake caliper guide pins are critical wear components that allow the caliper to slide smoothly during brake application — but over time, these pins corrode, wear down, and become contaminated with debris, causing the calipers to bind, brake pads to wear unevenly, and braking performance to deteriorate. The result is dragging brakes, uneven pad wear, vibration during braking, reduced stopping power, and potential rotor damage from sustained heat buildup. This 4-piece guide pin set provides direct OE replacements for one of the most overlooked yet critical brake system components, restoring smooth caliper sliding action and proper brake operation. Compatible with virtually the entire classic and modern BMW lineup using factory caliper guide pin part numbers 34110141349, 34111157041, and equivalent.
Features:
- High-quality steel construction – delivers exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion under sustained brake heat cycling and weather exposure
- Direct OE replacement design – manufactured to factory specifications matching original equipment part numbers 34110141349, 34111157041, 0004210818, and 251615219
- 4-piece set – sufficient hardware for one complete brake caliper service (front or rear axle)
- Wide chassis compatibility – fits the vast majority of BMW models from the 1970s through current production
- Critical brake system maintenance component – addresses one of the most common but overlooked brake system failure modes

- For complete brake caliper replacement (all 4 calipers), order 2 kits
- Confirm vehicle model, chassis code, and caliper type before ordering
Contents:
- 4x Brake Caliper Guide Slider Pins
Benefits:
- Restores smooth brake caliper operation – eliminates the binding, dragging, and uneven pad wear that develop with worn or corroded factory guide pins
- Resolves common brake system symptoms – including pulling during braking, uneven pad wear, brake pulsation, reduced braking efficiency, and excessive heat from dragging brakes
- Prevents brake rotor damage – binding calipers cause sustained heat buildup that can warp rotors and accelerate pad wear
- Improves brake pad life – properly sliding calipers ensure even pad pressure distribution, dramatically extending pad life
- High-quality steel construction delivers significantly improved durability compared to aged factory pins
- Critical preventive maintenance for any high-mileage BMW – guide pin wear is universal on aged BMW chassis
- Significant cost savings compared to repeated brake service caused by worn pins – this affordable replacement extends the service life of pads and rotors
- Wide cross-platform compatibility makes this versatile for BMW enthusiasts who manage multiple BMW chassis or workshops servicing diverse BMW models
- Essential preventive maintenance during any brake pad replacement – the guide pins should be inspected and replaced as needed during routine brake service
Installation Notes:
-
Caliper type verification required: Confirm your brake caliper type is NOT one of the excluded variants (Girling E30 318/325, E28 M5, E24 M6, 850CSi, E9X M3, 135i 6-piston) before ordering
-
Quantity for full brake job: This kit includes 4 pins – sufficient for one axle (front or rear). For all 4 calipers, order 2 kits
-
Brake fluid contamination warning: Brake service requires care to avoid contaminating brake fluid with debris, oil, or other contaminants
- Properly support the vehicle on jack stands rated for the vehicle weight before beginning installation – never work under a vehicle supported only by a jack
- Remove the wheel and inspect the brake caliper for any obvious damage before beginning service
- Carefully remove the brake caliper from the mounting bracket – follow factory service procedure for your specific BMW chassis
- Inspect the existing guide pins for wear, corrosion, or damage – if heavily contaminated or damaged, replace with the new pins
- Clean the guide pin bores in the caliper bracket thoroughly before installing new pins – use brake cleaner to remove old grease and debris
- Apply high-temperature brake-specific grease to the new guide pins before installation – do not use general-purpose grease which can degrade under brake heat
- Install the new guide pins into the caliper mounting bracket – verify smooth sliding action through full travel range
- Reassemble the brake caliper following factory torque specifications
- Pump the brake pedal several times before driving to verify proper brake operation
- Test brakes at low speed before normal driving – verify no binding, dragging, or unusual symptoms
- Inspect for any brake fluid leaks at the caliper after testing
- Professional installation strongly recommended unless you have experience with brake system service procedures
- If unsure about compatibility with your specific BMW variant, caliper type, or installation procedure, contact our team with your year, model, chassis code, and caliper type before ordering
